What are laminate veneers?

Laminate comes from the Latin word “lamina”, which means sheet or a very thin layer of material. It is a technique that is applied only by thinning the teeth’s front sides by 0.3-0.7 mm, without cutting all sides of the teeth, and causing a minimum loss of intact tooth tissue. Within the framework of certain rules, a minimum cut is made.

It provides perfect aesthetics for multicolored teeth, teeth with impaired structural form, broken, split or distorted teeth.

High temperature pressed porcelains are used for laminate veneers. It is an aesthetically very successful procedure. Light transmittance is very good. Very natural restorations can be made. Laminate veneers fit very well with the teeth and surrounding tissues.

The leaf porcelains, which are produced, are rehearsed according to the patients’ needs and wishes and attached to the teeth with special adhesives.
