When do baby teeth fall out?

Baby teeth start coming in when a child is approximately 6 months and finish coming in at around 30-36 months. A 3-year-old child whose baby teeth are fully developed has 20 teeth in total: 10 on the upper and 10 on the lower jaw.

Baby teeth will start falling out from the front teeth in the lower jaw around the age of 7 and continue until the end of the age of 12. Generally, canine teeth fall last. Sometimes, teeth that are buried and unchanged milk teeth are also encountered. Regular control is important during this period.

Falling out of milk teeth before their normal periods also creates various problems because the milk tooth guides the permanent tooth to be replaced later.

Inflamed rotten teeth and teeth with a replacement age can be extracted. If there is still time for the new permanent tooth to come out, a placeholder must be made to prevent the gap of the extracted tooth from closing.
